Transformus 2020

Posted by Communications Team in Uncategorized with 0 comments.

Dear Mysterians,
As we all face an unprecedented period of crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Transformus Leadership Caucus and the Board of Directors have been keeping a keen eye on CDC and WHO recommendations with a regard to whether or not we can safely come together and build Mysteria together this year.

Our top priority has always been on the safety of all Mysterians and the surrounding community. We maintain that unwavering commitment to participant safety during these uncertain times.

So, it is with much sadness that we must announce the cancellation of Transformus 2020.

We would have loved to have a burn on the other side of this situation, but as the timeline for mitigation and holding large gatherings is still very foggy, we decided cancellation was the best practice – especially so that ticket holders can get refunds on their purchases.

Brown Paper Tickets will be issuing refunds automatically to all our ticket holders. The refund should include the service fees and be sent directly to the card used to purchase the tickets. If you have sold your ticket to someone else, you’ll need to pass on any refund that they are due. If you don’t receive a refund within two weeks or you no longer have that card or have any other issue, please contact BPT directly by emailing them at [email protected] and include your confirmation number. Hopefully this goes as smoothly as possible, but BPT is just as affected as every other service we rely on, if not more.

Also, while we are currently mourning this year’s burn, we still want to maintain a community spirit. As such we have a few possible plans for a special virtual burn that we will pose to the community for feedback. If you have any ideas on how we can still come together and celebrate safely from our homes, we welcome your suggestions as well!

Burn brightly – even in these dark times,

The TLC
