Statement from the Transformus Board of Directors

We would like to extend our thanks to the community for their efforts in the Go Fund Me page set up for injured FRT volunteer Cleopatra/Samantha as well as online well wishes and thoughts. 

While this incident is still being investigated, we would like to ask the community to avoid speculation and rumors which only heighten emotions that are already running high.  Our Effigy/Pyrotechnics and Fire Response teams dedicated many hours to provide a safe and fun show for all involved and are devastated that an injury happened during the process.

Right now, we would like to keep all energies focused on Cleopatra and her speedy recovery. In the future, we will send out a community survey to allow all participants a chance to voice their opinions and concerns regarding the use of pyrotechnics during our effigy and temple burns.

A simple “Thank You” doesn’t seem enough to show our appreciation to the response from the Burn community after Samantha’s accident.  The comments from everyone with uplifting messages of support and kindness have kept her spirits up which is helping Samantha immensely in the healing process.  We want to thank each of you for everything you have done, and continue to do, for Samantha.  Love to you all.  Samantha’s family, Judy, Gary and Alyssa.
