Pre-Inspection Questions:

Before asking FAST for an inspection on-site please ask yourself the following questions to help ensure that all your equipment meets our technical requirements (full specifications available in Guidelines for Flame Effects)

Do you have:

  • A 1/4 turn valve at each tank, before any hose and easily accessible in case of an emergency?
  • Regulators designed for use with LPG?
  • Valves marked with their pressure rating and LPG compatibility? (Documentation to confirm this is also sufficient)
  • Hoses designed and marked for LPG with a minimum working pressure of 350 PSI and crimped fittings? (No hose clamps are allowed)
  • Flare fittings used on all copper tubing? (No compressing fittings or solder allowed)
  • Are accumulators made from unaltered DOT cylinders or ASME tanks?

For regulated pressures less than or equal to 125 PSI, use the following hardware:

  • Minimum schedule 40 pipe & fittings
  • Minimum 125 PSI valves

For regulated pressures greater than 125 PSI, use the following hardware:

  • Minimum schedule 80 pipe & fittings
  • Minimum 250 PSI valves
